The Witches Falls Wines

At Witches Falls we source our grapes from the Granite Belt, Queensland's most well known and established wine region. The Granite Belt is centred around the town of Stanthorpe situated on the Great Dividing Range 750 - 950m above sea level and 95 km inland from the coast. The winters are cold and frosty and summers warm producing a continental climate. Most of the region's rainfall comes in spring feeding the growing buds and shoots. The soil is largely composed of granite, somewhat on the acidic side and is free draining. Vintage (harvest) takes place from late February through to May. The fruit is then transported to our winery located on Tamborine Mountain where all our processing takes place.
